Knorr-Bremse Global Care has been supporting WSUP in Ghana since 2018.
We are working on a sanitation project in the Ashanti Region of Ghana which will benefit 4,965 people. Under this project a public toilet has been constructed, toilet operators and community management teams trained, and household toilets and good hygiene practices have been promoted.
These activities will contribute to the following effects and changes:
- Increased access to basic sanitation facilities;
- Improved water quality through a reduction in faecal contamination of the environment;
- Reduced risk of disease for the local community; and
- Investment in the local school, resulting in improved educational outcome.
