Research is a central part of our work. We are driven by an innovative and exploratory mind-set, using rigorous scientific methods to test different technologies and approaches, and to identify which work best. Find out more about our current research programme.
Publications help ensure that our research results reach the relevant people. All of our publications are free to download from our resources database: a fully searchable library of our publications and other print resources.
Training is the third activity in this area. We have long been involved in training and technical support for water utilities and other service delivery organisations. Now we are taking this up a notch, supporting the creation of a masters module on water and sanitation for low income communities, for delivery by universities in Africa and internationally: watch this space!

We produce a range of publication types that document and disseminate our learning. Here you can search our online library for these publications.
This series of short videos explores models and approaches for improving water and sanitation services for low-income urban communities, which are genuinely working.
